How Floating Treatment Media helped the Kimbolton wastewater treatment plant meet compliance
Prior to our envolvement, the Kimbolton wastewater treatment plant was operating with fine bubble aeration in conjunction with a thin geotextile curtain submerged in the pond. Cold winter temperatures caused nitrifiers to slow down below optimum performance levels. As a result, the ponds failed to reach compliance for ammonia levels
Benefits
The retrofitted Floating Treatment Media onto the existing asset is consistently delivering a very clean effluent quality throughout all the seasons.
